Validation and handoff

AI-assisted docs still need a human review pass.

Validation checklist

Before accepting the output:

  • verify source-doc links
  • verify commands
  • verify repo summary and architecture claims
  • verify risky areas and safe edit zones
  • check search and navigation
  • compare the rendered result with the actual repo

Example

Good handoff:

Agent-drafted update reviewed against README, runbooks, and rendered site. Commands and links were checked manually.

Bad handoff:

Agent updated it, looks fine.

Why this matters

The point of the AI path is speed with control, not speed without review. A short validation pass prevents the most common mistakes from becoming permanent docs.
